SM2 is an additional site nearby to SM1 and uniquely proximate to the South Morang Terminal Station (SMTS). SMTS is one of the few locations in Melbourne that has significant capacity and does not require major network augmentation, resulting in favourable speed to market outcomes.

DoverDC has managed the project through its development, with development approval currently in process and power procurement well progressed.
